Three Things You Should See in Thailand

Thailand’s charm, warmth, beautiful attractions, and historical sites will leave you in awe when visiting this Southeast Asian country. It is one of the most popular tourist and backpacking destinations in the world and the country has just come to grips with operating the tourist industry. It is highly recommended that you visit these three attractions while in Thailand.

  • The Similan Islands in the Phang Nga Province is about a 90-minute speedboat trip from Phang Nga or an eight-hour slow boat trip from Phuket. The Similan Islands was named a national marine park in 1982 and remains largely underdeveloped. The water in the area is filled with tropical fish, beautiful coral, and great underwater visibility. The diving in the Similan Islands is excellent to say the least.
  • Another set of islands close by to Phuket, the Phi Phi Islands is a classical tropical getaway that you would normally see on a postcard. While visiting the Phi Phi Islands, you will see beautiful rock formations, lush vegetation, clear water teaming with marine life, and beautiful beaches. The Phi Phi Islands attract hundreds of visitors per day.
  • Ayutthaya, north of Bangkok, was the prosperous trade and political capital four hundred years ago. It is now a plundered, abandoned, and burned ruin of a city. What remains is the beautiful architecture of a once vibrant city. The temple and palace are what remains of the city, and they serve as a reminder of what was once an impressive city.
