Tomas Rekem – Sport Fishing at Its Best

Tomas Rekem is an avid sports fisherman and enjoys taking trips to Ontario whenever possible. The area is known for its great fishing spots. He likes the fact that the there are many untouched spots that require a short quick on a kayak. With so many choices spots to fish from in Ontario, here are a few favorites that are bound to provide excellent fishing.

Lake Simcoe is a choice spot for finding a variety of fish. It’s located just north of Toronto and within an hour’s drive of other nearby cities. Fishing enthusiasts can find a wealth of fish in its deep sections such as whitefish and lake trout, mid-depth areas offer smallmouth bass and yellow perch. There are even spots in the shallow areas to hook a harbour largemouth bass.

Another popular angler spot is Lake Nipissing, a lake in the Canadian province of Ontario. The lake contains numerous species of fish, with 40 different species. There are plenty of fishing lodges along the shoreline, as well as a few on Nipissing’s many islands. Most anglers come for the walleye, smallmouth bass, muskie, and northern pike.

Tomas Rekem enjoys getting out in the wilderness of Canada. He frequently goes hiking, fishing and camping along many of the lakes surrounding Ontario.  He uses the time spent fishing as a kind of meditation. When you can be one with nature and unwind. He grew up in Slovakia, which is also known for its abundant amount of outdoor activities. Now he lives in Canada and gets the chance to spend time skiing the slops and fishing the many local lakes.
