Tomas Rekem – Canadian Living

Tomas Rekem is originally from Slovakia but is now proud to call himself a Canadian. The country is full of outdoors activities and ranks high as far as places to live. Canada scores among the best places to live in the world according to recent polls. The study scored 36 nations, including Russia and Brazil on things such as housing, income, health and safety.

The findings showed that the country had 7.2% national unemployment rate, and 14.5% youth unemployment rate. That’s lower than the United States and some European countries.

Another key factor Canada is a desired place to live is their average household earning which is at US$28,194 each year after taxes. They ranked seventh on household wealth and ninth on yearly income. Most Canadians are also satisfied with the housing situation as well. The average home in this country is two bedroom and two bath.

Besides being a great place to raise a family, Canada offers its residents all kinds of outdoor activities. There are plenty of places to camp, go skiing, fish or just enjoy the scenic beauty. Canada is considered one of the top ski destinations in North America.

Tomas Rekem likes living in the colder climates, because he can see more of his favorite sports, hockey. Even as a young boy in Slovakia, he enjoyed both playing and watching this super fast sport. One of his favorite teams is the Maple Leafs of Toronto.
